LSPR Postgraduate Pre-Master Program (PGP) is a transfer program for undergraduate LSPR-Jakarta students who want to pursue their Masters program at LSPR-Jakarta. The event was held to socialize and introduce LSPR PGP’s vision and mission to students and parents of prospective LSPR student applicants on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall.

Dr. Rino F. Boer, Director of Postgraduate Program LSPR-Jakarta, opened the event by stating that the Pre-Masters Program is exclusively for LSPR undergraduate students and a superior way to gain both S1 and S2 degrees. The program continued with a sharing session with LSPR-Jakarta alumni with Kina Grace Kawatu as moderator. The speakers were Tony Alexander (Nokia Marketing) and Metha (Astra Branding Communication Analyst) both Batch 14 students who both participated in the Pre-Master program at LSPR Jakarta. The two alumni shared the importance of communication in the work they are doing.

The Pre-Masters Open Day also included presentations on the atmosphere and technical aspects of the campus, as well as its application in work. Afterwards, Dr. Joe Harrianto explained the Pre-Master program (PGP acceleration) in depth. He stated that the vision of the LSPR-Jakarta PGP program is to become the centre of communication science for postgraduate education in 2020.

LSPR-Jakarta’s postgraduate program is accredited “A” and offers concentrations in Corporate Communications and Government Public Relations, Marketing Communication, International Communication, and Social & Mass Media Management.  Under the Pre-Master program, students of LSPR-Jakarta undergraduate program can complete their Masters in one year after completing their Bachelor program.

The event closed with a presentation from Okky Alpressi – Marketing department who explained the tuition fees. Pre-Master Open Day visitors received a 50% discount on registration fees. (Nadira, Irfan)
