Jakarta – LSPR Communication & Business Institute held a seminar with the theme of tourism and careers in tourism, at the “Exploring Career: Tourism & MICE” event. This seminar is the first to be held by LSPR to support one of the new majors in tourism in LSPR namely Hospitality & MICE.

The seminar was held on Saturday, 8 February 2020 at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall, LSPR Communication and Business Institute, Sudirman Park campus and was attended by students of SMK Jayawisata 1, SMKN 27, and SMKN 38. The event was opened with an appearance from LSPR Choir singing Indonesian and tourism nuances.

Dr. Anang Sutono  talked about the beauty of tourism

Various information about tourism & MICE was delivered by 3 speakers namely Dr. Anang Sutono, CHE who is the Senior Advisor of the Minister for Economy & Destination Development at The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, who talked about the beauty of tourism, explained the future development of tourism, and the design and target of tourism development starting from 2020 – 2024.

Mr. Alexander Nayoan talked about Hotel Tourism and Restaurant Tourism

Mr. Alexander Nayoan who is the Jakarta Hotel Association Advisor, talked about Hotel Tourism and Restaurant Tourism. Followed by Febrian a LSPR alumni who achieved his success in tourism as a Travel Blogger. Febrian shared his journey from initially trying to sing to turning into a Travel Blogger, and also his success in the field.

The event continued with a question and answer session between the speakers and audience, and the giving of placards by Mr. Alppy Valdez as Dean of the Business Faculty to the three speakers. The event ended with door prizes and photo competition prizes to participants of the Tourism & MICE seminar.
