Building a Healthy, Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Workplace

Supporting Our People, Strengthening Our Institution, Sustaining Our Future.

LSPR Institute of Communication and Business, through its Human Resources Department (HRD), provides the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as part of its commitment to a healthy, safe, inclusive and sustainable workplace. Available since September 2025, the program offers professional support to employees and their families in addressing personal and work-related challenges that may affect their well-being and quality of life.

LSPR recognizes employee well-being as an essential part of institutional success, alongside academic achievement and the quality of teaching and learning. The EAP puts this commitment into practice through confidential, flexible and accessible professional assistance, provided at no additional cost to employees and without affecting their performance appraisal.

The program aligns with LSPR’s 2030 vision, Sustainable Education for a Sustainable World, by placing human well-being within the institution’s approach to sustainability.

Responding to Employee Needs

Work demands, family responsibilities, organizational change and interpersonal relationships can present challenges to employees’ mental health and well-being. LSPR developed the EAP to provide a route to professional assistance when employees face these circumstances.

The program aims to enhance psychological well-being, help prevent the harmful effects of work-related stress, strengthen employees’ ability to manage challenges and promote an organizational culture based on empathy and mutual support.

Four Core Services

The EAP brings together four services that combine preventive support, assistance with current concerns and the development of employee well-being.

  1. Personal and Family Counseling. Counseling helps employees address emotional concerns, family relationships and challenges in their personal lives. Its scope recognizes that personal and family circumstances can influence well-being at work.
  2. Mental Health and Stress Management. Professional support helps employees manage stress, anxiety and other mental health concerns, with attention to their individual needs and circumstances.
  3. Workplace Conflict Assistance. Employees can seek assistance with difficulties in the workplace, including conflicts with colleagues or supervisors. This service offers support in navigating interpersonal challenges at work.
  4. Employee Wellness Support. Wellness support encourages healthy lifestyle practices and balance between personal life and work. It complements counseling by addressing employees’ broader well-being needs.

Equal Access and Confidentiality

The EAP is open to all LSPR employees, with support that also encompasses family-related concerns. It is guided by equal access, without discrimination based on position, background, gender or personal circumstances. This approach is intended to strengthen an inclusive workplace where employees can seek assistance.

HRD coordinates access to the program, supported by trained and licensed professionals. Confidentiality is a core principle: consultation information is protected and is not used as a basis for employee performance appraisal. Access to personal information is limited in accordance with applicable service procedures.

Access and Consultation Arrangements

Employees can request assistance directly through HRD’s official WhatsApp or email channels. They do not need to wait for a particular event or educational session to raise a concern or request support.

Consultation times are arranged according to professional service availability. In-person and online consultations are available, with the location and method coordinated under the applicable service arrangements and with attention to the user’s comfort, privacy and confidentiality.

How the Program Works

  1. Submit a private request. The employee contacts HRD through its official WhatsApp number or email address to request EAP assistance.
  2. Coordinate the support needed. HRD coordinates the request under the applicable procedures, limiting access to personal information.
  3. Receive professional assistance. The employee receives support or consultation according to their needs and the scope of the EAP.
  4. Protect confidentiality. Consultation information remains confidential and is not used to determine the employee’s performance appraisal.
  5. Arrange follow-up where needed. Further assistance or a professional referral may be arranged when necessary, in accordance with the relevant procedures.

Supporting Well-Being and Institutional Sustainability

The EAP supports Sustainable Development Goal 3, Good Health and Well-being, particularly the promotion of mental health and well-being under Target 3.4. Its contribution centers on providing access to professional support and integrating employee welfare into institutional practice.

Future development could include periodic mental health education, employee well-being surveys and annual program evaluations. These activities would help identify evolving needs and inform improvements to the program’s continuity and effectiveness.

Through the EAP, LSPR places care for its employees within its commitment to a resilient, inclusive and sustainable institution.
