LSPR Institute and UiTM Advance Communication Education, Career Positioning, and Regional Language Trends

Jakarta – July 21st, 2026 — LSPR Institute of Communication and Business hosted an academic delegation from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The visiting UiTM delegation was led by Professor Dr. Abd Rasid Abd Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Tengku Elena Tengku Mahamad, Deputy Dean of Research and Industry Linkage, and Dr. Wan Norbani Wan Noordin. The LSPR host delegation was led by Dr. (H.C.) Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR, FIPR. The visit served as an executive academic exchange to discuss communication, higher education, student career positioning, and regional language trends across Southeast Asia.

The visit brought together executives, deputy deans, and department heads from LSPR and UiTM. It began with a campus tour, giving the UiTM delegation an opportunity to explore LSPR’s academic facilities, including the London School Beyond Academy, LSPR’s dedicated learning centre that provides education and skills development for students with special needs, before continuing with the main discussion.

During the discussion, both institutions exchanged insights on current industry trends, particularly the growing influence of artificial intelligence on communication, education, and the future competencies required of graduates. The representatives also discussed how higher education institutions can continuously adapt their academic programmes to remain relevant in the rapidly evolving communication industry.

Another key topic was the potential collaboration between the LSPR International Conference on Communication and Business (ICCB) and a conference organised by UiTM. Both institutions explored opportunities for academic collaboration through joint conferences, speaker exchanges, research presentations, panel discussions, and other collaborative initiatives that would strengthen research networks between Indonesia and Malaysia.

The visit further strengthened the long-standing partnership between LSPR and UiTM. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration through academic programmes, research, international conferences, faculty and student engagement, and other initiatives that will contribute to the advancement of communication education in the region.
