National cyber security is a field that needs to be encouraged and strengthened by the government in an effort to increase national economic growth and realize national security. Therefore, the London School of Public Relations together with the State Cyber and Code Body (BSSN) held a Public Literacy Lecture on fromat 10 am to 1 pm at the Prof. Auditorium Djajusman, Sudirman Park, LSPR Jakarta.

BSSN is a government institution of the Republic of Indonesia that was established in 2017 and tasked with implementing cyber security effectively and efficiently by utilizing, developing, and consolidating all the elements related to cyber security.

Dr. Djoko Setiadi, Head of BSSN explain about BSSN

The lecture was attended by Dr. Djoko Setiadi, Head of the BSSN and moderated by Ermiel Thabrani, Msi, senior lecturer at LSPR. Students and Lecturers of LSPR also attended. The BSSN stated, “More than 50% of respondents claimed that hoax messages were usually shared by their close friends, working colleagues, or school friends”.

Dr. Djoko conveyed how to behave in cyber space, such as Share With Care by not sharing personal information with anyone, Anonymize Your Internet Use by stopping the spread of the locations of your personal activities, Secure Browsing by cleaning browser history and caching regularly, and making sure important sites use HTTPS, and finally Classify Your Data by sorting data and providing protection against data.
