On Friday, 6 November 2015, LSCAA (London School Center of Autism Awareness) held an Teachers Training for elementary teachers in Jakarta at Prof. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall.

The seminar was opened by the performance of Ivan, one of LSBA (London School Beyond Academy) student, who sang and played the keyboard of  “Meraih Bintang”. Then, Mrs.Chrisdina Wempi as the Head of LSCAA gave an opening speech about the importance of understanding how to teach students with special needs for teachers.

The seminar  entitled “Deteksi Dini & Individual Educational Plan” was presented by Mrs. Nefrijanti Sutikno, who dedicated herself as a teacher for students with special needs, accompanied by Mrs. Veronica as the moderator. Mrs. Nefrijanti Sutikno gave a presentation about how to make Individual Educational Plan (IEP) by understanding the condition of each student as different condition will lead to different handling. Through this seminar, the teachers was expected to know the readiness, recognize the barrier, and finally could make the suitable Individual Educational Plan (IEP) for each student with special needs, so further they can graduate and be part of the society.

The seminar was full of enthusiasm which can be seen from the number of questions asked for Mrs. Nefrijanti. The seminar ended with the symbolic plaque of appreciation handed by Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR to Mrs. Nefrijanti Sutikno and photo shoot session with the teachers.(Agatha / Citra)
