International Examination in “Film Production & Editing” for Broadcasting Digital Media & Film Batch 24 and Film, Video, Digital Media & Design Students

Jakarta – November 24th & 26th, 2025 – LSPR hosted the International Exam titled “Film Production & Editing” for Broadcasting Digital Media & Film Batch 24 and Film, Video, Digital Media & Design Batch 4 students. The assessment was conducted by Tania Visosevic from Edith Cowan University, Australia, a lecturer and major coordinator for screen production at the School of Arts and Humanities.

The examination focused on evaluating students’ pre-production documents for each film project, with guidance, input, and feedback from the assessor. This approach ensured that students were tested on their ability to conceptualize, plan, and organize their projects effectively before actual production. The process highlighted LSPR’s commitment to aligning its curriculum with international academic standards and enhancing students’ preparedness for professional creative media environments.

During the assessment, students presented detailed pre-production materials for their individual short film projects. Works such as Perjalanan Amara, Midnight Guerilla, Delusi, and Mr. Anchor showcased the students’ skills in story development, narrative structuring, thematic planning, and production design preparation. They elaborated on casting choices, location scouting, crew organization, and technical planning, reflecting their understanding of the logistical and creative considerations that underpin successful filmmaking.

The presentations also revealed students’ problem-solving and decision-making abilities, as they explained how they addressed challenges such as time constraints, complex logistics, or equipment limitations during the pre-production stage. This reflective engagement demonstrated not only their grasp of professional filmmaking standards but also their capacity to adapt and make informed choices in real-world production scenarios.

The International Examination provided students with the invaluable opportunity to receive feedback from a foreign assessor based on global industry standards. This experience enhanced their analytical, organizational, and communication skills, deepened their understanding of professional screen production practices, and strengthened their readiness for careers in the film and creative media industries.
